Cockburn family
I am currently researching the following people, any help gratefully
appreciated. Mostly the Scottish records are East Lothian or Dumfries
the US records are more difficult.
- David Cockburn (senior),
Joiner, Haddington. Death
Certificate 1921. Married Ellen
Eddington (born Dirleton 1845, also known as Helen) on 31/7/1868 in
Dirleton. Died 12/2/1921 aged 77, recorded in Haddington. Especially
looking for gravestone.
- David Cockburn (junior) ,
Master Joiner, Haddington
Birth
Certificate - 1878, Death
Certificate - 1944, Marriage
to Jessie Livingstone,
subsequently married 1923 to Jessie Craig Scott (maiden surname Chappell)
- Andrew Cockburn. Born
Haddington about 1873, son of David Cockburn senior above. Married
Agnes Walker Robertson on 21st June 1901 in Dirleton, East
Lothian. Had a son David Cockburn 28th April 1902. Emigrated to Canada in 1909 where he went into business with his younger brother
John Edington Cockburn. John is buried in Vancouver, but I cannot find a record of Andrew, Agnes or David there. I am unsure whether the business was in Vancouver or not. Andrew Cockburn's last whereabouts were near Wilkie,
Saskatchewan
- Russell Lurcock, Railway
Engine Driver. Looking for Birth and Death Certificates. All records in
the US, either New York or Pennsylvania.

now Johnson City, Broome Co. N.Y.
- Harriet Lurcock. Daughter of
Russell Lurcock. Looking for birth certificate. Died 1929 in Inveresk.
