Supermarket without a clue

A Sainsburys I was in today seemed pleased that it has removed all its customer scales. No longer is it possible with loose fruit and vegetables to weigh them yourself. If I want a pound of mushrooms or a kilo of loose potatoes, each item has to be carried to a checkout first to determine if it is the right quantity. Then you have to remove the fruit or veg at the checkout until you reach the right quantity. Then you can do the rest of your shopping. Besides being annoying for anyone who likes home cooking, it's also time wasting as either I have to wait while someone else weighs my food or I have to get in line behind people actually making a purchase before I can access the till that has the scales in it.

Sainsburys: taste the difference. Well, not if I find it too inconvenient to shop there. Sainsburys: Taste my blog!
