This was taken in Nov 94 after graduating with M.Sc. from Napier University with distinction and class medal. If you want to see the full picture with kilt and robe, here's the full thing (JPEG 112K). If you're interested in tartans, here is a sample of the Cockburn modern tartan (GIF 113K) that I'm wearing in the full picture, scanned in from my kilt! Here's a tileable sample (GIF 7K).

Our wedding was on 20th July 96 at Greyfriars Tolbooth and Highland Kirk in Edinburgh. This kirk is famous for the "Greyfriars Bobby" story which was made into a Disney film and is also where the Covenant was signed in 1638 and where the Gaelic Bard Donnchadh Bàn Mac an t-Saor is buried. He wrote many songs, including Màiri bhàn òg (MIDI sample). Greyfriars kirk dates from 1620 and was opened the day the Mayflower landed in America.
